I got into art in my freshman year of high school. I had been spending a lot of time on social media sites where art work from many different artist was circled around, and I saw a lot of great pieces on there that I loved. I developed thoughts of, "Wow, this is really cool!" and "I want to draw like that!" So I picked up a spiral notebook and slowly began filling it with doodles and drawings.

 

I have learned a bunch about art, both things I realized on my own and through lessons taught by my art teacher. I've improved a lot since I started and have gotten to try out things I hadn't before. I've dabbled in a lot of different media since being in art class, but I think my favorite would have to be the water colors we used for a couple of our pieces.

 

I would like to continue to do art, but I don't really see at it as career option for me. I think I will keep on drawing as a hobby for right now. Who knows? That may even change sometime in the distant future, but for now, I'd just like to focus on improving my art.
